Testimonials

We worked with Josh for the first time on a major automotive shoot near Mammoth, chasing a snowstorm to secure the right conditions. With unpredictable microclimates and melting snow, the pressure was high -- and Josh was exceptional.

He consistently arrived before crew call (even on brutally early mornings), often stayed late, and proactively strategized ways to preserve and protect the snow we needed. His snowcat expertise was critical, but his work ethic and attitude were just as impressive.

Our clients were thrilled. We'd absolutely work with Josh again and highly recommend him for snow grooming and removal (snowcat, loader, skid steer, blowers, and more). Truly grateful for him. - Loan T.

Joshua Newbry — Founder

Josh was born in Bishop, California and raised in Mammoth Lakes, where he attended school until the age of 15. In 2006, Josh moved to New Zealand with his family, living there until 2012 before returning to pursue his passion for the mountains.

Josh began his career in the ski industry as a snowcat operator in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, building terrain parks. Over the years, he has accumulated more than 20,000 hours operating snowcats and shaping terrain across some of the world’s most respected mountain resorts.

His experience includes work with Woodward Copper, Breckenridge, Perisher (Australia), projects in China, and Mammoth Unbound, where he played a key role in terrain park construction and mountain operations.

After nearly two decades in the snow industry, Josh transitioned his expertise into the film production world, where his deep knowledge of snow, terrain, and heavy equipment allows productions to operate safely and efficiently in demanding winter environments.
